Microneedling & Morpheus8 in Mount Pleasant, SC

Microneedling and Morpheus8 are two options for patients who want smoother, firmer-looking skin without adding volume. Both treatments encourage your skin to make more collagen, which can help improve texture, fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores and early skin laxity.

At Southern Grace, we offer both because they are not the same treatment. We’ll help you choose based on your skin, the area you want to improve, the amount of tightening you want and the downtime that works for you.

Traditional Microneedling

Microneedling creates tiny controlled channels in the skin that start your skin’s natural repair process. As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and can gradually look smoother, firmer and more even.

It is a versatile treatment for the face, neck and other areas where texture, fine lines, acne scarring or loss of firmness are concerns.

Morpheus8 for Smoothing & Tightening

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with controlled heat beneath the skin. That added step allows us to work on both skin texture and firmness, making it a good option when tightening is part of the goal.

Patients often choose Morpheus8 for the face, jawline or neck when they are noticing crepey texture, fine lines or skin that does not feel as firm as it used to.

Microneedling vs. Morpheus8

Traditional microneedling  is a great option when the main goals are texture, pores, acne scars, fine lines and overall skin quality. Morpheus8 may be a better fit when you want those benefits along with more tightening.

Neither is automatically “better.” The right choice depends on your skin and what you are trying to change.

What to Expect

Before treatment, we’ll review your skin and goals and use numbing to help keep you comfortable. Treatment time depends on the area being treated.

Afterward, your skin may look red and feel warm or sensitive, similar to a sunburn. Downtime varies by treatment and intensity, but most patients plan for at least some visible redness after treatment.

Results build gradually because collagen takes time. You may notice improvements in texture first, with firmness and smoothing continuing over the following weeks and months.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Some patients notice improvement after one treatment, but a series is often recommended when the goal is more meaningful correction of acne scars, texture or skin laxity. We’ll recommend a plan based on your starting point rather than automatically putting everyone on the same schedule.

Which Microneedling Treatment?

Traditional microneedling focuses on skin renewal and texture, while Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency energy for deeper collagen remodeling. Your provider can help determine which option fits your skin and goals.
